Ben Thomson

Ben ThomsonBen is a recent graduate based out of our Manchester office, working across both the Project Services and Service Management teams. He joined Informed Solutions following a degree in Computing at Leeds Metropolitan University, which included a 1 year industrial placement working for a large multi-national IT company.

Since joining Informed Solutions, Ben has helped to deliver key e-enabling systems for central government clients and played a key role in the delivery of internal initiatives which will support the Company's future growth.

Ben reflects on his time at Informed Solutions:

"After completing my degree, and due in part to the experience I gained throughout my placement year, I knew that I wanted to work for a company that would allow me to develop not only my technical but also my non-technical skills, with a view to managing key projects and teams in the future. Throughout the interview process it became apparent that Informed Solutions offered a career that would help me to achieve such aspirations, providing its consultants with a bespoke career path and the encouragement to continually improve. This is echoed by the personal mentoring and coaching programme that has helped me to focus my own development.

"Since joining Informed I have been constantly challenged; learning new technologies, working in direct contact with key clients and being given the opportunity to help grow the organisation as a whole, expanding the services it offers to its clients by working on important internal initiatives. During this time I have worked alongside highly skilled and experienced colleagues who have kindly shared their knowledge and experience with me, whether it has been solving complex technical problems or hosting training workshops for high profile Electricity Company representatives, the support has always been there.

"One of the most enjoyable aspects of working for Informed is the chance to voice my own opinions and take part in discussions across all areas of the business, and it is through such discussions that I have started to learn many of the key soft skills required to help our clients achieve their often demanding business goals. Working across multiple service groups has also gifted me with the chance to be involved in many areas of the project life-cycle including implementing enhancements to existing systems and developing new enterprise systems, right through from the conceptual design stages to an industry-wide launch."
