| Asset Management - Electricity Transmission |
As a consequence of European Directives on electricity deregulation and supply side competition, a newly de-merged European national electricity transmission company identified that existing network records management systems would not allow the organisation to meet its responsibility of developing new business processes and systems to manage its assets.
Informed Solutions was asked to develop a business case and feasibility study for implementation of a new network records management system. Following acceptance of the resulting report, Informed Solutions worked alongside the client to establish the detailed business requirements for asset management, integration of existing systems and the conversion of legacy records. Working closely with the Asset Management Group to analyse benefits, costs and risks, Informed Solutions prepared and presented a strategic implementation plan. This plan detailed a phased implementation for the corporate asset management system, tailored towards the business' prioritised needs, and the requirements of the downstream capital expenditure programme.
