Business and Technical Options Review - National Financial Institution

As a result of increasing competition, a leading UK financial institution decided to improve their customer profiling and scoring processes by implementing more effective business systems. Historically, the use of spatial data for traditional demographic profiling of customers and prospects within this organisation was limited. It was felt that a more strategic centralised approach to the management of demographics and lifestyle data, together with better modelling, reporting and dissemination tools, including on-line conflation of spatially referenced information, would deliver considerable business benefits.

Informed Solutions was commissioned to undertake a business options review, including an assessment of the associated benefits and risks, with a view to determining the most appropriate corporate and departmental options for an enterprise-wide spatial systems solution. The business options review was well received and Informed Solutions was then requested to propose an integrated architecture to underpin the implementation. An independent assessment of the leading spatial technologies was undertaken and the findings compiled into a study report that provided the client with the information they required to support Director level decision making on future investments in systems and data.
