Joanne Teasdale - Programme & Project Services Co-ordinator

Joanne is a Programme and Project Services Co-ordinator based from our Manchester office and, most recently, she has also been appointed Deputy Quality Manager. She joined Informed Solutions in 2006 after returning from an extended stay in Sydney. While at Informed Solutions, Jo has worked on assignments including feasibility studies; a user training programme for a national deployment of a new systems solution within central government; a regional consultation programme underpinning a major e-transformation project within emergency services; and the preparation of an information management strategy for a leading multi-national, involving requirements gathering across some 40 countries.

Jo reassures us that there does not appear to be even the remotest chance that she might become bored, and she offers us her thoughts on why she enjoys her role at Informed:

"Initially, what appealed to me about Informed Solutions was that they are an industry leading consulting services practice with an excellent reputation, and that the Company was offering me the opportunity to develop as an individual and as a professional, within a growing team of talented and motivated people".

"Since joining the Company I have been fortunate to work across a number of high profile projects, within a variety of different sectors. My work commitments from day to day are very diverse and challenging, and I need to ensure that I have the initiative and professional discipline to manage my time and priorities. As I have proven myself, I have been encouraged and have welcomed the opportunity to shape and grow my own role and I have helped define or improve a number of our quality management processes, under the guidance of my line manager. My initiative and good work have been recognised and I have recently been appointed the Deputy Quality Manager. I am keen to progress my career and, for me, being afforded new opportunities, especially so soon after joining, reassures me that Informed recognises and rewards hard work, commitment and competence. This has been exciting, motivating and confidence building".

"To explain my role a little further, the Consulting Support Services group within which I work, is a dedicated team of highly skilled co-ordinators that are tasked with working alongside world class subject matter specialists, lead technical consultants, and programme and project managers. Together, we ensure that we pull together, monitor and facilitate the successful delivery of all aspects of an assignment throughout its entire lifecycle. It is a busy and dynamic environment and our function is central to successfully delivering the expected outcomes. We are required to liaise with all stakeholder groups and emerge with a clear understanding of all key facets of an assignment, which we in turn confirm with the client and then communicate. Our Company works to very high standards and is enormously regarded and trusted by its clients. Everyone in Informed is proud of our culture, our working environment, and the trust clients have in us. We are obviously doing things well because our company is awarded some amazing assignments. For me, this means I work on industry leading projects, am afforded very interesting and varied work, am stretched and can grow as a person and as a professional, and with each success come other opportunities. These are some of the many appealing aspects about both my role and working for Informed Solutions".

"If asked to explain what my colleagues are like, I would say they are committed, inspiring and very capable. I appreciate that it doesn't suit everyone, but it is a real buzz to work in such a fast paced, enthusiastic, results-driven and successful organisation".

"Also, it is great to see that the Company realises the value of training and development. This is extended to all members of staff. Personal growth and career development is a fundamental part of Informed Solutions' culture. As I had not previously worked in a consultancy environment, from the outset I was coached on identifying key skills and qualifications that would help me progress. I have been fully supported and encouraged by my line manager, my immediate team, and other senior colleagues. Recently, I gained my PRINCE2 practitioner qualification which is an excellent accreditation that provides me with both know-how and credibility".

"I really enjoy working at Informed, and I can see why so many staff stay on and are keen to develop their careers here".
