SERVICE MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Service Management Consultant with outstanding people skills, technical competence and the highest standards of professionalism to join our very successful and motivated Operational and Technical Services team, based out of the Company’s Manchester office, which is located in Altrincham.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an impressive ability to administrate, facilitate and assist in the development and improvement of:

  • Providing an effective and efficient single point of contact within the Service Desk for all client Service Requests
  • Proactively own the Service Incident on behalf of the Client and provide excellent communication of the resolution process
  • Accurately maintain all Service Incident and Service Request records within the Company Service Management systems
  • Follow internal Service Management procedures for all aspects of the Service Desk and Support Service, maintaining documentation throughout
  • Liase with internal Service Management Administrators for the provision of reports and monitoring of performance against Client Service Level Agreements
  • Provide technical problem analysis and resolution for reported Service Incidents
  • Liase with other Service Desk Consultants, Project Consultants and our technology partners on technical issues
  • Technical Project Management of small or self contained work packets in relation to a clients deployed systems
  • Assist in the testing and deployment of client application and technology issues resolution on existing platforms
  • Critically analyse current process and procedure where appropriate to contribute to Informed Solutions’ continuing business process improvement

  • Ability to work within and provide high quality service support in compliance with Client Service Level Agreements
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and soundly judge technical requirements
  • Superb interpersonal and communications skills and confident front-line relationship management experience
  • Ability to work in, assess and help advise in situations which may involve a significant degree of uncertainty
  • A smart polished and professional appearance, a positive personality, and a “can do” attitude
  • Thoroughness and attention to details
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm and strong self motivation
  • Excellent technical writing skills, including polished document preparation and presentations experience
  • Sound professional and personal judgment
  • Strong professional discipline – work prioritisation, organization and time management skills
  • A willingness to travel is essential

Other Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Operational experience in a structured operational support or service management role, with a proven track record in adhering to best practice and offering guidance to clients
  • Experience of working within a disciplined, high caliber, results-orientated professional services organisation
  • Familiarity with an industry standard service management methodology, such as ITIL
  • Knowledge of one or more Microsoft, Service Management and/or Spatial/Database systems
