As Client and Industry Relationships Director you will be a key member of our leadership team, building trusted relationships with existing and prospective clients, as well as strategic stakeholders in industry, government and academia. 

Core elements of the role also include working with fellow Main and Technical Board Directors on thought leadership objectives, to provide a strategic framework for market development and proposal development, as well as outreach at conferences and industry events, though communications, marketing and social media campaigns.

Role Description

Specifically you will:

  • Develop existing client relationships and forge new relationships with prospective clients
  • Lead the business development efforts of the wider team, including strategically shaping bids and proposals that align with a clients’ specific needs and preferences
  • Contribute to thought leadership, helping develop our evolving market presence and propositions
  • Contribute to our talent development programme, particularly the up-skilling, coaching and retention of a diverse staff that welcomes and is inclusive of young people and women in technical and leadership roles

Your skills will include:

  • A passion for building relationships and representing a strong, trusted corporate brand across the public and private sector
  • A leadership style that is engaging, trustworthy and confident, with the ability to liaise with all levels of stakeholders, up to and including Ministerial and C-Suite
  • A communications style that is clear, compelling and engaging, combined with a relationship development approach that is trustworthy, friendly and approachable
  • Strong marketplace understanding, strategic analysis and ability to present information with impact
  • Proven experience in strategic bid and campaign management

You will be based in our central Sydney offices on Elizabeth Street and must have the flexibility to travel to co-locate with colleagues, clients and prospects as needed.
