Overview

As a Service Performance Specialist you will act as the key point of contact for our prestigious clients, assisting in the day-to-day running of the service and taking on increasing responsibility across all aspects of the service. Your role is critical in supporting the people, systems and processes that deliver world class, business-critical support services for our clients.

Role Description

 

You will:

  • Be the trusted point contact for our clients and be seen as the person who can “get things done”.
  • Pro-actively support the day-to-day running of innovative digital services across:

           Operations: Be the first port of call for our clients and take responsibility in resolving any issues that may arise.

           Performance: Ensure our services are optimised and exceeding client expectations.

           Analytics: Pro-actively analyse user demand and service metrics to help our clients continually improve their services.

           Assurance: Ensure any changes are fully assured by employing automated testing and release pipelines.

  • Facilitate a truly collaborative DevOps service model within a multi-technology environment (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, AWS, Drupal, PHP, .Net, Jenkins, Vagrant, Katalon and Selenium).
  • Work closely with Lead Service Performance Specialists in the implementation and delivery of Service Request and other work packages.
  • Bring your initiative to pro-actively and independently respond to changing priorities across multiple services.

 

You will have:

  • A 2:1 degree or above in an IT/Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Geography or GIS subject.
  • Outstanding analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Experience of, or potential to, work closely with senior client stakeholders.
  • Be willing to share knowledge and coach more junior team members.
  • Exposure to delivering projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban etc.).
  • Experience of working closely with software developers and IT operations staff in a DevOps environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express complex concepts in simple terms.
  • A willingness to travel and work onsite as client needs dictate.
