Informed Solutions achieves ISO 14001:2015 Certification

Informed Solutions has been accredited to the latest international environmental management standard ISO 14001:2015, making us among the first scale-up organisations in the UK to attain the standard.

We are delighted to announce that our Environmental Management System has achieved accreditation to the latest international environmental management standard ISO 14001:2015, making us among the first scale-up organisations in the UK to attain the standard.

ISO 14001:2015 specifies a set of requirements for planning, implementing, operating and improving an Environmental Management System.  Organisations adopt the standard to demonstrate their commitment and ability to provide solutions in an environmentally aware and sustainable way. The 2015 version of the standard ‘upgrades’ the existing 14001 certification and is the world’s most widely recognised standard for Environmental Management Systems.

Similarly to the ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 27001 (information security management) standards, this latest incarnation of ISO 14001 puts a much stronger emphasis on the involvement of senior leadership in environmental management issues and encourages taking a more risk based approach to avoiding any negative impacts on the environment.

Informed Solutions’ Technical Director Tom Weeks said the certification demonstrated our ongoing commitment to being an environmentally responsible business.

“Alongside our ISO 27001 certification for information security and ISO 9001 certification for quality management, this award highlights the strong focus that we place on being an environmentally sustainable business”, he said.

“It not only ensures that our business maintains a contemporary view of how our activities can impact the environment, but also helps us to continue our scale up trajectory, since ISO 14001 certification is a mandatory requirement for many of our global customers.”
