Informed Solutions are delighted to announce they have been appointed a Department for International Trade export champion.
The champions are recognised for the contribution they have made to the economic growth of the region through investment, creating new employment and exporting.
It has been a successful year of exports for Altrincham based Informed Solutions, a leading provider of digital transformation, technology, data analytics and systems integration services. In February, they won the prestigious Australian IT Benchmark award in the State and Local government category, delivering a pioneering environmental data portal for New South Wales Government. This was followed by a World IT Congress award, hosted this year by India, and an ICT Excellence Award for Emerging Digital Platforms.
The Company’s Australian business is growing steadily and has also expanded with the opening of new offices in Canberra.
Commenting on being appointed a Northern Powerhouse export champion, Informed Solutions' Global CEO Elizabeth Vega said it was a genuine honour, adding that building a strong export economy was absolutely critical with Brexit just around the corner.
“We have worked very hard and invested significantly to build our skills and business capabilities to facilitate scale-up to a global company,” she said. “However, we couldn’t have grown so rapidly without the support and encouragement of the amazing staff at the Department for International Trade. We’re deeply grateful for their help, for their practical assistance through the challenges and for joining us in celebrating our wins."
“We’re very proud to be export champions and fly the flag for the UK because every member of the Informed team has worked hard to deliver world class services to clients around the entire globe. We want to encourage other UK businesses to do the same and now is a great time to make that journey, knowing that you're in good company, with allies like the Department for International Trade and other businesses that support as Export Champions."
“Britain is a world leader in the digital industries and there are really exciting global trading opportunities for Northern Powerhouse businesses,” she continued. “Northern Powerhouse exports reached £58billion last year and, as the strengths of our region become more widely known, we can increase this even further and build a prosperous ‘Global North’.”
