Informed Solutions has been selected as the digital delivery partner for the Digital and Information Services Division (DISD) within the Directorate for Agriculture and the Rural Economy (ARE) – the body responsible for supporting Scotland’s sustainable economic growth in agriculture, the food industry and in rural areas.

Key elements of the contract relate to provision of strategic advice to assist with digital service developments in line with the Vision for Scottish Agriculture, strengthening the in-house digital capability of ARE’s Digital and Information Services Division and complementing its existing digital estate. Using Queen’s Award-winning digital transformation methodology InformedTRANSFORM©, Informed Solutions will work with ARE to accelerate and de-risk digital transformation, evolving ARE’s digital roadmaps and optimising digital service delivery.

The strategic approach will see ARE’s existing digital capability reinforced and enhanced by Informed’s experience in delivering innovative and sustainable environmental solutions, blending user-centred digital delivery techniques with deep geospatial and data expertise, underpinned by the Digital Scotland (DS) Service Standards and The Scottish Approach to Service Design (SAtSD) to deliver a joined-up experience that prioritises inclusivity and equality.

The agreement will also see the strengthening of ARE’s capabilities through the provision of skills and knowledge transfer that draws from Informed Solutions’ world class InformedACADEMY© learning and development framework. This advanced practical learning and development activity will build sustainable expertise in the identification, development and use of digital methods and tools. The effective hand-off of skills and learning will allow RPID leadership to expand capability across its entire organisation and beyond, and to embed world class digital practices in policy and future services.

Informed Solutions’ UK CEO, Seth Finegan comments: “We are delighted to have been appointed as ARE’s strategic digital delivery partner of choice. Having already invested significantly in digital connectivity and infrastructure, the new plans and reforms ARE have proposed are extremely exciting and will be crucial in establishing Scotland as a leader in digital land information services, and as a benchmark for digital skills development, playing a pivotal supporting role towards the vision of the country becoming a leader in sustainable and regenerative farming”.
