Informed Solutions has been awarded one of ten places on a new Metropolitan Police Service – Digital Policing – Solutions Provider Framework 2022.
The appointment allows Informed to bring its 2022 Queen’s Award-Winning digital transformation service, which accelerates and de-risks digital business change, to a new four-year, £300m digital policing framework for end-to-end digital policing programmes.
Through this new framework The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) has put in place an agreement for the provision of services related to end-to-end digital policing solutions.
MOPAC is directly accountable for police performance in the capital, setting out strategic direction and allocating resources across London in its Police and Crime Plan. It also has a significant role to play across the criminal justice system. Operational policing remains the responsibility of the Metropolitan Police Commissioner.
The framework award will allow Informed Solutions and other highly capable digital service suppliers to deliver complex, multi-phased, and technologically advanced solutions that enhance digital policing capability. Access to the new Framework will also be offered on a national basis to all Police Forces, The Mayor’s Office and the Greater London Authority and its functional bodies.
With a £300m contract value over 4 years, the new Framework is split into three Lots:
The first lot relates to service provision for planning, building, testing, deploying, and operating technology solutions. The scope of these solutions will include bespoke application development, configuration of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions, the provision of Software-As-A-Service (SaaS) solutions, and device and software development and implementation. Additionally, it will include the delivery of enhancements to existing applications and integration projects that will help deliver more efficient and effective digital policing operating models.
In the second lot, Value-Added Resellers will provide hardware and software, Microsoft licences, services, and cloud solutions, and Lot 3 relates to resource augmentation for digital policing projects and the provision of specialist technical resources not currently available within the Metropolitan Police Service.
Informed Solutions was awarded a place on Lot 1 of this strategic digital policing framework due to its trusted, proven, long-standing, and 2022 Queen’s Award-winning expertise in accelerating and de-risking digital business change for Civil defence-focused organisations, including The National Police Chief’s Council (NPoCC) and Police Scotland, for whom it successfully supported digital policing for COP26 in Glasgow in November 2021.
Informed Solutions’ UK CEO Seth Finegan comments: “We are proud to have been appointed to this hugely important framework. InformedTRANSFORM™, our Queen’s Award-winning digital transformation service been proved to accelerate and de-risk digital business change and transformation in operational digital policing environments.
“The services we develop are used by millions of people every day in an increasingly connected and converged world and we’re excited to be able to collaborate with the Mayor’s Office, the Metropolitan Police, and the Greater London Authority to develop and enhance world class digital policing capabilities that help make our world a safer and smarter place.”
