Informed Solutions has appointed Brian McIntyre as Managing Director for its Scottish operations, strengthening the company’s leadership and long-term investment in the nation’s thriving digital and innovation economy.
Drawing on over 30 years of expertise in delivering complex digital transformation across public and private sectors, the appointment marks a significant milestone in Informed’s commitment to helping shape Scotland’s future as a global centre of trusted, technology-led growth.
Since joining Informed Solutions in 2023 as Transformation Director, Brian has played a key role in advancing large-scale digital transformation programmes across government and industry. In his new role, he will lead the next phase of expansion in Scotland, driving high-impact, trust-based innovation, creating high-value digital careers, and supporting clients to deliver lasting economic, social, and environmental benefit.
Building on deep, trusted partnerships with the Scottish Government, NatureScot, Forestry and Land Scotland, and CivTech Scotland, Brian will oversee the continued growth of Informed’s work in the country, strengthening the company’s contribution to national digital ambitions and Scotland’s reputation as a leader in sustainable, human-centred innovation.
His appointment coincides with Group CEO Elizabeth Vega OBE’s recent selection as Advisor to Richard Lochhead MSP, Minister for Business and Employment, on the Scottish Technology Council – a new body uniting industry leaders and academics to shape forward-looking policy, foster trusted digital innovation, and champion Scotland’s technology sector on the global stage.
Informed Solutions has a distinguished track record of success in Scotland, delivering award-winning digital and data platforms for NatureScot, The Scottish Government’s Agricultural and Rural Economy Directorate, and Forestry and Land Scotland. These programmes have helped protect biodiversity, manage land and natural resources, and strengthen resilience in rural economies by taking advantage of advanced data science, AI, and geospatial intelligence.
Looking ahead, Informed Solutions’ growing Scottish team will focus on:
- Scaling trusted innovation partnerships with government, public service, and enterprise organisations;
- Applying its award-winning expertise across sectors – from healthcare, transport, and infrastructure to environment, justice, and the economy – to help clients deliver smarter, more connected, and resilient public services;
- Expanding geospatial and data science capabilities to support environmental, rural economy, and critical national infrastructure programmes;
- Creating and developing high-value digital, data, and AI careers that strengthen Scotland’s innovation and technology workforce;
- Helping Scotland build the skills and capability to become a digital and data driven nation of significance.
- Contributing to Scotland’s vision for inclusive, sustainable, innovation-driven growth.
