Informed Solutions’ Chief Digital Officer and Transformation Director, Matthew Rix, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Manchester-based charity Step Up MCR.

Step Up MCR brings together residents, businesses and community organisations to strengthen neighbourhoods across Manchester through its place-based giving model, creating opportunities for local people and supporting community-led initiatives.

The appointment builds on the partnership between Informed Solutions and Step Up MCR and reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities where it operates.

With more than two decades’ experience leading complex digital transformation programmes across the public, private and third sectors, Matthew brings extensive expertise in digital, data and organisational transformation. As a Trustee, he will support Step Up MCR as the charity continues to strengthen collaboration between residents, businesses and community organisations across Manchester.

Commenting on his appointment, Matthew Rix said:

“Over the past few months, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know the fantastic and dedicated team at Step Up MCR and see first-hand the difference they make by bringing together residents and local businesses around shared community goals.

“Although my career has focused on digital transformation, becoming a Trustee is something quite different, and I’m really enjoying the challenge. It’s been a great opportunity to learn more about the charity, meet inspiring people, and understand how collaboration can make a real difference to local communities.

“I’ve always believed digital and technology should create opportunities, not barriers. Whether it’s improving access to education, helping people develop new skills or enabling organisations to have a greater impact, digital and data can play an important enabling role. I’m looking forward to bringing that perspective to Step Up MCR and supporting the charity as it continues to make a positive difference across Manchester.”
