Your role as Learning & Development Manager is to work closely with our Main and Technical Boards to engage and develop our high performing teams based in our offices in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra.


You will be excited by the opportunity to:

  • Work with our business and technical experts to develop creative and engaging face to face and e-learning training modules, using innovative ideas and our modern and flexible Leaning Management System to bring training sessions to life, gathering feedback and continually improving the value of our training to the business.
  • Take responsibility for the continuous investment in our people by overseeing the full learning cycle of InformedACADEMY© (our in-house staff development programme), supporting our people and our clients to build the skills, capabilities, and insights they need to be successful in their roles and to stay ahead in a rapidly changing digital world. 
  • Oversee our Training & Competency framework, ensuring that our staff benefit from the right internal and external training at all levels (from graduates to senior managers), and provide accurate and timely Management Information to inform future training activity.
  • Be a trusted learning expert for our business, including championing our staff development programme with staff, potential hires, alliance partners and clients.

Learning and Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced colleague, ideally with (or working towards) Level 5 Learning & Development qualification such as CIPD, CTP, or demonstrable experience, with a successful track record in learning & development who can operate at a global level.

Successful applicants will demonstrate:

  • At least 5 years proven experience as a Learning & Development Manager (or similar position) with knowledge of learning and development best practice. 
  • Level 5 Learning & Development qualification such as CIPD, CTP, or demonstrable experience.
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods.
  • Commitment to Continued Professional Development with a strong business acumen and solid relevant experience of relationship building and implementation of learning interventions.
  • Understanding of different learning styles and methods, design, and delivery experience.
  • Experience in evaluating and assessing the effectiveness of learning programmes and producing performance dashboards.
  • An engaging and inspiring communications style and relationship management approach that is friendly and approachable and connects with a wide audience, from graduate associates to board level executives, senior clients, and external stakeholders.
  • A passion for helping people learn and grow and a positive, open personality with a “can do” attitude.
  • Thoroughness and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and confident, responding logically and decisively under pressure.
  • You will be based in Altrincham, in our impressive Grade II listed offices and will travel from time to time to work alongside colleagues and alliance partners in the UK and Australia.
